If you don’t know our family, you might be confused by the name of this blog. Our names are not actually Egg and Bar, but we are known by these nicknames, and it seemed appropriate to feature them in our travel documentation.
We are sisters and we both inherited a love for travel from our dad. Egg is a bit older than Bar, and once I (Bar) turned 18, Egg informed me that I would now be her travel companion.
In the years that followed, we did quick trips to Australia, New Zealand, parts of Asia, Europe, and Central America, in addition to hopping around the USA. Every trip was too short and work was always waiting for us, until we decided to rebel against the rat race and try something totally different.
We’re in the process of building out a camper van, and by “building out” I really mean thanking God for sending Grant our way so that he could build it out for us. When we’re not researching mini-fridges, Starlink, or composting toilets, we’re working on hiring and training work replacements, packing up our house, and low-key panicking.
Join us for our trip around the USA sometime in 2024. It won’t always be pretty or glamorous, but I promise it’ll be reality.

The Roaming Egg and Bar
